Darius Rucker, lead singer for Hootie and the Blowfish and country music star, shares a laugh during the Long Drive Contest before the start of the Monday After the Masters Pro-Am tournament.

More than 6,000 fans made their way to the Dye Course at Barefoot Resort again for the annual Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Pro-Am golf tournament.

Hosted by the popular South Carolina based band, the tournament brings in dozens of celebrities from the sports and entertainment world much to the delight of the fans, many of whom have come each of the 14 years the tourney has been held at the North Myrtle Beach course.

This year marks the 12th consecutive sellout for the annual event.

Celebrities and golf pros are matched with local amateurs who have paid for the chance to ply the course for the day.

Those fees along with entrance fees and other revenues have led to the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation’s giving of millions of dollars to local charities over the years.

This year’s tournament was won by the team headed up by Web.com player Jimmy Gunn and NHL legend Grant Fuhr. The winning team notched an 18 under par 54 score.
