Aynor beats East Clarendon

Aynor defeated East Clarendon 37-14 Friday.

Aynor's rushing attack again proved to be too much for an opponent.

In their 37-14 rout of East Clarendon Friday, the Blue Jackets ran for 468 yards, nearly five times East Clarendon's total. Quarterback Andrew Brown led Aynor rushers with 14 carries for 159 yards. Along with Brown, the Blue Jackets' Fred Pollard, Anthony Eaddy, Drew Shelley and Riley Phipps each found the end zone.

The win improves Aynor's record to 2-0 and sets up a showdown with 3-0 Green Sea Floyds next week. The Blue Jackets and Trojans were scheduled to play last week, but the game was postponed because of Hurricane Dorian.

Aynor is ranked No. 10 in Class 3A and GSF is the top-ranked 1A school. Green Sea Floyds defeated Loris 28-27 Friday night.
