Myrtle Beach leaders just voted to spend $500,000 on an ambassador program. City officials said that a business hired by the city will bring workers to the downtown area to guide tourists, walk people to their cars at night and provide other hospitality services. City council members said the program will help the area become safer and more appealing. Is this a good use of public money?
