Loris/GSF Relay for Life will be held Friday, May 5, from 6 p.m. - 2 a.m. at Heniford Field.

This year’s theme is ‘Superheros.’

Opening ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the Survivor Kickoff, Caregivers and Team Pride Lap. There will be lots to do and see. There will be themed laps during the event such as Kid’s Lap where all the kids take the track, Purple Rain Lap – The power of purple! Purple!, Purple!, Purple! Wear everything purple, Selfie/Usie Lap – take selfies or usies with your smartphone and post on social media using the #loris/gsfrelayforlife #relayforlife, Superhero lap – WE all can be heroes in the fight against cancer. POW! Also bring your cowbells, whistles, kazoos for the Make Some Noise Lap or whatever you can do to show cancer we are here and we are coming for it!

There will be lots of food, games, entertainment and more themed laps to participate in.

Just remember this is a time to celebrate, remember and fight back.

This week at Loris Library, Thursday, May 4, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m., Friends of Loris Library (members only) Yard/Book Sale Preview (memberships can be purchased at the door for $5/individual or $10/family) and Friday, May 5, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Loris Library Friend's Annual Yard/Book Sale (public).
