All of the workout classes have been a huge hit in the neighborhood. The activity committee has added more, and changed some times. These new classes and times started last Monday, Aug. 12.
All classes meet at the clubhouse or large pool. The only one that currently requires an RSVP is aqua fitness.
The schedules are: Mondays - aqua fitness at 8:15 a.m. and classical stretch at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays - chair yoga at 9 a.m. and easy walk at 10 a.m.
Wednesdays - classical stretch at 9 a.m. and easy walk at 9:30 a.m.
Thursdays - aqua fitness at 8:15 a.m. and chair yoga at 9:30 a.m.
Friday - classical stretch at 9 a.m. and easy walk at 9:30 a.m.
Please make note of these times. If you are wondering what easy walk is, so am I. All I know is that it’s a video, and I assume by the name that it’s for seniors.
Friday, Aug. 16 is the last Friday Night at The Farm for the summer. There will be a new food truck and games.
School will be opening soon. With it brings the congestion on Wheatfield Drive. I suggest you make your plans, if possible, to avoid the area between 7 – 8 a.m.
We hope the police will be out trying to move traffic along.
When Carolina Forest Boulevard is completed, there will be a traffic light installed on Farmers Rest Drive. That should make leaving The Farm a little easier.
If you haven’t joined The Farm’s website, you are missing out on the best way to know the happenings in The Farm. Along with the day to day events, there are also our rules and regulations, committee information, CC&Rs and a new question and answer site. You will also receive a blast informing you of upcoming events.
Questions such as, “What are the requirements for a gated community?” and other questions will be added as residents send in their questions.
You must be a resident of The Farm to join. Go to farmatcarolinaforest.com. It could take a few days to verify your address.
The Farm residents can also join The Farm community bulletin board on Facebook. The activity committee keeps you up-to-date on the upcoming events in The Farm.
If you want to reserve the clubhouse for a private affair, contact Gigi Napoleon at 843-237-9551 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Neighborhood Watch is always looking for new members. Contact chairman Gregg Markey at email@example.com. It only takes one evening a month to help your community.
With school starting up soon, I remind parents to send me the achievements of your children whether it’s sports-related or even a great report card. I would love to share your enjoyment with the rest of the community.
Susan and I went to see La Cirque at the old Waccamaw Pottery site. I recommend going if you haven’t seen it. It is the same show that was at the old Palace Theater. Our granddaughter and great-grandchildren went with us and people of all ages enjoyed the show.
I am always looking for items of interest.
Email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Till next time.
