What a busy yard sale we had. I don’t remember ever seeing so many cars in our neighborhood for the sale. Hope everyone did well. I didn’t have much to sell, but sold some bobbleheads to benefit the library and hung out with some of my neighbors.

If anyone has books and audio materials left after the yard sale, please donate to your local library.

Pool entrance cards were handed out last Saturday. About 100 homeowners picked them up. The rest of the cards will be at the Premier office in Murrells Inlet for people to pick up. Cards will not be activated for homeowners that are behind on dues or fees.

Last Sunday, the parking lot was re-striped per regulations and the rest of the landscaping was completed. The pool is full of water and waiting for the pool contractor to treat the water and open the pool.

Kathy Beck, a homeowner on Covington Drive, came home from an Easter trip to find muddy bear claw prints all over her white fence. The bears have definitely been very active the last month in our neighborhood.

Mia Luk, daughter of Rosemary and Victor Luk, recently placed first in programming at the annual Horry tech fair at Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Mia is a first grader at Carolina Forest Elementary School, and she used Botley, the coding robot, for her project. Congratulations, Mia.

Coding is the up-and-coming job description. The library is holding a class called Coding for Girls to encourage girls to get involved in science and technology.

The League of Women Voters is sponsoring a voter registration table every Friday from 9 a.m. - noon at the library.

I goofed! The next bag of books sale at Carolina Forest Library is May 21 from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

The last pet adoption from Horry County Animal Shelter will be Thursday, May 9 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the library.

The next Beautify Carolina Forest litter day will meet Saturday, May 11 at 8 a.m. in the recreation center parking lot. They can use your help. Thank you to the Horry County Litter Patrol for help in keeping litter off our streets.

Happy birthday to Kalla Saucedo May 4 and Bernadette Hilb May 7.

Look forward to hearing the news and events of the neighborhood.
