MYRTLE BEACH—Sheila Marie Zandona, 73, formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away July 31 peacefully in her home.

She was born Sept. 16, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Mikki) DeWitt Carbonaro.

A Myrtle Beach resident for 16 years, Sheila was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, and she was a joy to all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Anthony Zandona; children  Michael Zandona of Myrtle Beach, Louis Zandona, Peter Zandona and wife Mailon and Michele Laxton ,all of Pennsylvania, and Angela DiMarcelo of Delaware; brothers Father Dennis Carbonaro and Anthony Carbonaro and wife Carol; 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Vincent Baiocco; niece Christine Eibel and other nieces, nephews and many friends, especially close friend Nancy Kinsler.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and sister Phyllis Baiocco and nephews Robert and Steven Baiocco.

  A Mass of Christian burial was held on Aug. 5 at Saint Andrews Catholic Church in Myrtle Beach.
