Shawn Douglas Marlowe, 52, of Bayboro, passed on May 10 in his home.   

Shawn was born to John Milton Marlowe and Ethel Eugenia Brand, on Jan. 12, 1967, in Montezuma, Georgia.  

He graduated from Socastee High School in 1985.

He leaves as his legacy his son, Justin Marlowe (Jessie).  

He leaves to cherish his memory grandchildren Lincoln Marlowe and Levi Marlowe.  He also leaves to cherish his memory siblings Johnny Marlowe (Amanda), Shawnee Marlowe (Debbie), Jack Brand (Teresa), Joy Pilcher (Bob) and their families.

His children remember him as a hard worker who loved to build and a jokester to anyone he cared for.

He was preceded in death by John Milton Marlowe, (father) and Ethel Eugenia Brand (mother).

Shawn was a locksmith and maintenance worker with Horry County until he retired in 2018.  Shawn made many friends and created a large network through his career.

He loved animals and his grandchildren enjoyed visiting him with his many different types of animals.

A celebration of life was held May 15 at The Rock Church in Conway.  

The family request that donations be made to the Rock Church.

Mr. Marlowe is entrusted to the care of Lewis Crematory and Funeral Services, Myrtle Beach.
