MYRTLE BEACH—Rick Derrick Fown, 58, died Sept. 30 at his home. 

He was born Aug. 28, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, son of Richard Dwight and Lois (Mowery) Fown.

Survivors include wife Cathi of the home; brothers Gary and Terry Fown; sisters Dee (Mark) Elschlager, Kim Beach, Lynn (Danny) Donahue and Teresaand Janice Fown; niece Bridget Fown; mother-in-law Phyllis Workman Stowers and niece Sheana Stowers and sons Noah Long and Kason Green. 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry and sister, Cathy.

A visitation was held Oct. 3 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home and a second visitation was held Oct. 5 with the funeral service at Freeman’s Funeral Home in Chapmanville, West Virginia. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill, West Virginia.
