MYRTLE BEACH—Randy Barringer, 67, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away July 30 at his home.

Born on Sept. 24, 1951, he was a son of the late Harold and Harriet Barringer.

Mr. Barringer was a 1969 graduate of A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis, North Carolina and attended Eastern Carolina University.

He married the former Jan Arthurs on Jan. 29, 1972, in Kannapolis, North Carolina. They moved to Myrtle Beach in 1984 and he started working at Carolina Tire and then left there and went to work at Mason Tire where he was the assistant manager for 29 years.

He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed trips to Disney every year with his family. 

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jan Barringer; son Chris Barringer; daughter Kelley Johnson and husband Shane; grandchildren Brycen, Kinsley and Ashlyn; sister Lynn Overcash and husband Nathan; niece Carla Clack and nephew Kevin Overcash. 

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
