MYRTLE BEACH—Netha Ellen Marinos, 81, joined her husband Paul in eternal rest on Aug. 31.

The youngest of 11 children, Netha enjoyed a good political conversation,her fur family, The Kentucky Wildcats and The Cleveland Indians, crafting, solitaire, candy corn, zingers and being outdoors. 

Netha was a graduate of Hammel Business College, retiring from the City of Akron in 1996 after 25 years working in Parks and Recreation. 

Netha was a classy lady who was always the life of the party.

She is survived by her daughter Melanie Marinos Cooper and son Pete (Cyndi) Marinos; grandchildren Nicholas ( Melanie), Paul Marinos, Alexandra (Philip), Christian Marinos and Ellen Cooper; great-granddaughter Kendall; sister Charlotte (Gene )Dodson; brother-in-Law Arnie Alsip’ special niece and friend Barb Partin; special friend who was family Shawn Pitman-Anderson (Michael) and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. In lieu of a funeral, she requested a party and the family will follow her wishes on Nov. 29 in Akron, Ohio. Details will be announced at a later date. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. 

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Marinos is entrusted to the care of Lewis Crematory and Funeral Services, Myrtle Beach.
