MYRTLE BEACH—Kenneth “Kenny” Ray Sanders Jr., 73, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on July 17 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Kathleen Sanders.

He was preceded in death by brother Kerry.

Kenny was truly a southern gentleman who never had a discouraging word to say about anyone.

He loved sports of all kinds and coached little league baseball and football in his younger years.

He was always active in the community and was named in the 1975 Who’s Who of America.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Alice E. Sanders; daughter Chari (Tom) Bobrowski of Pomfret, Connecticut; grandson Josh; sister Kay Macklen and several nephews and many friends.

A memorial service was held July 20 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, Murrells Inlet.

Memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth’s name to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave. N, Suite 101, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
