MYRTLE BEACH—John James Baker Sr., 74, passed away Aug. 18 at his home. 

Born on March 27, 1945 in Glen Falls, New York, he was the son of the late Herbert and Eileen Baker. 

Jack was a hardworking man who loved and provided for his family. He proudly served his country in the Marines during the Vietnam conflict. 

He is survived by children Kimberly Blaylock, John James Baker II, Melanie Doucette, Patrick J. Baker, Daniel J. Baker, Todd E. Baker and Christina E. Baker; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. 

Memorial service were held Aug. 22 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. 

Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
