MYRTLE BEACH—Jennie H. Thompson, 88, passed away June 22.

She was born Aug.15, 1930, in Lamar, a daughter of the late C.B. and Beulah Andrews Howell.

She was predeceased by husbands R.D. Thompson and Jimmie Green Hardee.

Jennie was co-owner of Thompson Electric and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach, where she taught Sunday school for more than 66 years.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother.

Surviving include daughter Linda T. Gore and husband Nigual; sons Howell D. “Trucky” Thompson and wife Jeannie and Kenny Thompson and wife Karen; grandchildren Howie Thompson (Tara), Jennifer Gore Williams (Jason), Candy Gore Hindersman (Jim), Scott Thompson (Rebecca) and Ashley Thompson Grigsby (Chad); 10 great-grandchildren and sister Sara Howell Langston.

Funeral services were held June 24 at First Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach. Entombment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach or Mercy Care Hospice.
