PAWLEYS ISLAND—Imogene Friedrich, 76, passed away peacefully at her home on March 24 with her family by her side.

Born on July 13, 1942, in Caldwell County, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Clenard and Nada Ray Watson.

Imogene was a loving and devoted wife to the late Hans Friedrich who spent many years as an accountant in the film industry prior to retirement.

She was very active at St. Paul’s Waccamaw UMC and Women of the Motion Picture Industry (WOMPI).

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceeded in death by brothers Charlie Lunis Watson of Lenoir, North Carolina, and Coaston Hartwell Watson of Gastonia, North Carolina.

She is survived by brothers William Arewood (Alice) Watson of Lenoir, North Carolina, and Alex Keith Watson and Chiplon Grey (De) Watson, both of Gastonia, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Imogene were held March 29 at St. Paul’s Waccamaw UMC in Pawleys Island with the Rev. Scott Efird officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Imogene’s name to Embrace Hospice, 11943 Grandhaven Drive, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

The family would like to extend their thanks and love to Embrace Hospice for the loving care afforded Imogene.

Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
