MURRELLS INLET—George Arthur Porzuc, 69, passed away unexpectedly on May 16 at MUSC Hospital.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Arthur W. and Helen M. (Palaschak) Porzuc.

A devoted and loving husband and father, George was an I.T. prior to “retiring” to South Carolina, although he considered Long Beach Island, New Jersey, his second home.

He was a former realtor with Coldwell Banker and a talented “jack of all trades.” George was an expert on the subject of birds and fish and shared this with all when he wasn’t pursuing his favorite pastime, woodworking.

George and Kathy were members of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church, Pawleys Island.

Preceding George in death, in addition to his parents is brother Thomas Porzuc.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Kathy; daughter Mary E. Lonneman (Michael Jr.) of Norwood, Ohio; brother Mark Porzuc (Lisa) and sister Lisa Breznak (Billy).

A Mass of the Christian burial will be held at noon, Friday, May 24 at Precious Blood Catholic Church with Fr. Paul MacNeil officiating.

Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
