NOAA projects the Waccamaw River will crest Wednesday around noon at 21.7 feet, slightly less than the 22 feet originally projected. 

At 9:15 a.m. Tuesday the river was obsvered at 21.08 feet.

The river will remain above 21 feet until Friday morning. 

By 10 a.m. Sunday, it will drop below 20 feet. (Flood stage is 11 feet.)

The Waccamaw has receded at Longs. Saturday, the river was at 20.19 feet at Longs, but by 10 a.m. Tuesday it had dropped to 18.71 feet.
