Chick-Fil-A of Conway
Closes Wednesday at 6 p.m., and closed on Thursday, Sept. 5. Opening Friday at 10 a.m. with only lunch and dinner items available.
City of Conway
The City of Conway says their offices will close at noon on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Non-emergency personnel will be dismissed at that time. We will reopen after it is safe to resume normal operations. Filing for Mayor and Conway City Council will close at that time.
City leaders also passed an emergency ordinance Tuesday night declaring that a localized state of emergency exists within the City of Conway ahead of Hurricane Dorian and authorizing the appropriate action to be taken.
The Governor of South Carolina declared a state of emergency for South Carolina effective at noon on Saturday, August 31, 2019, and directed that all prudent preparations be taken at the individual, local, and state levels to protect against the possible effects of Hurricane Florence. This declaration allows them to do the same for our municipality.
City of North Myrtle Beach
J. Bryan Floyd Community Center and NMB Aquatic & Fitness Center will be closed on Thursday. All Parks, including the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday and be closed on Thursday.
Coastal Carolina University
Classes cancelled through the week until further notice.
Coast RTA will provide evacuation services on Tuesday to a local shelter, and may continue evacuation services on Wednesday, weather permitting. There are 18 designated hurricane evacuation bus stops/pick up locations served by Coast RTA in Horry County. Coast RTA has posted blue and white hurricane evacuation bus stop signs at each of the designated hurricane pick up locations. When the Governor lifts the evacuation order and it has been deemed safe, Coast RTA will transport the residents back to the hurricane evacuation bus stops. No pets are allowed at the local shelters and therefore cannot be transported by Coast RTA to the shelters. The Business Power Breakfast scheduled for Sept. 6 has been rescheduled for October 4.
Conway Medical Center
All community classes and seminars for Thursday have been cancelled or postponed. Some hospital services will be closed on Thursday, but will resume Friday dependent on the storm's outcome. These services that will be closed Thursday include CMC Diagnostic Center; Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services; non-emergent Endoscopy, non-emergent Outpatient Surgeries; elective inpatient surgeries; elective radiology and laboratory procedures; employee pharmacy; and the Sleep Center.
All primary care and specialty offices will be closed on Thursday. They will reopen Friday depending on the storm's outcome. These include CMC Digestive Health; Pediatrics (Conway, Health Plaza South, Carolina Forest, and Towne Center); Primary Care (Health Plaza South, Bell South, Postal Way, Surfside Beach); Surgical Associates; Weight Loss, Women's Health; CPG (Aynor Family Medicine; Carolina Bays ENT; Carolina Internal Medicine; Endocrinology; Family Medicine Aynor; Family Medicine Towne Center; Internal Medicine-Creel Street; Neurology; OBGYN Towne Center; Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine; and Waccamaw Cardiology).

Conway Recreation Center
Closing at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Aquatic and Fitness classes will take place Tuesday through Wednesday at noon. The Recreation Center will remain closed Thursday and Friday.
All youth sports and swimming lessons for this week have been cancelled.
The Alive in the Alley event scheduled for Sept. 7 has been cancelled.
Grand Strand Regional Medical Center
GSRMC is asking all patients and visitors to enter via only their ER entrance beginning at 9:30 pm on Wednesday, September 4. For the safety of visitors, we will stop visitation at 7 a.m. Thursday, September 5 and resume visitation after the storm passes the morning of Friday, September 6.
Horry County Democrats
Office closed until Monday, Sept. 9.
Horry County Government
The Horry County Government offices will be open Wednesday, but closed Thursday and Friday. Staffing may be lighter than usual on Wednesday, so the public is encouraged to call before they travel to the Government and Justice Center.
Horry-Georgetown Technical College
Classes cancelled through the week until further notice.
Horry County Museum
All events through Saturday, Sept. 7 have been cancelled or postponed. Visit www.horrycountymuseum.org for updates.
Horry County Schools
Beginning on Tuesday, September 3, all District schools will be closed and will remain closed until further notice. This cancellation applies to all school-sponsored extracurricular activities and sporting events.
Myrtle Beach International Airport
The Myrtle Beach International Airport will remain open, and people are encouraged to check with their airlines regarding their flights through the weekend.
Recycling Centers will be working on revised operating hours:
Wed., 9/4 - normal hours depending on weather conditions
Thurs., 9/5 - all recycling centers closed
Fri., 9/6 - All centers that usually open at 7 a.m. will open at noon, if possible. Those scheduled to open at 1 p.m. should open as usual if possible.
Sat., 9/7 - All centers will have normal business hours, if possible.
Solid Waste Authority
Landfill will have normal hours on Wednesday, be closed Thursday, open at noon on Friday (if possible), and have normal hours on Saturday (if possible).
Material Recovery Facility will have normal hours Wednesday, be closed Thursday, open at 7 a.m. on Friday (if possible), and have normal hours on Saturday (if possible).
Waccamaw Market Cooperative
Markets this week are cancelled, and hope to resume Saturday, Sept. 7.
