Police cleared a suspicious package that was under investigation Friday afternoon in Myrtle Beach, authorities said.
Officers responded to a hair salon in the 700 block of Main Street in reference to the case, Myrtle Beach Police Cpl. Tom Vest said.
Horry County police were able to remove the package, which was deemed safe, from the building.
Roads in the area were being reopened as of about 5:15 p.m., police said. Community members had been asked to take alternate routes due to closures.
