A man has been charged with felony driving under the influence resulting in a death in connection with a fatal wreck that happened Saturday night on S.C. 544.

Juan Carlos Garcia-Olivares, 33, has also been charged with not having a driver's license, according to online jail records.

Joshua Wayne Young, 27, of Conway died at the scene, said Horry County Deputy Coroner Chris Dontell in a news release.

Cpl. Judd Jones with the S.C. Highway Patrol said wreck happened around 11:45 p.m near Joe Mill Trail when a westbound Lincoln struck a moped also heading west.

Garcia-Olivares, who was driving the Lincoln, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, Jones said.

The driver of the moped, Young, was not wearing a helmet and died as a result of the crash.
