A 39-year-old man has been charged with robbing a Dunkin' Donuts near Myrtle Beach last week.
Corey Busch of Surfside Beach was arrested Sunday in connection with the case, Horry County Police Department spokeswoman Mikayla Moskov said in a news release.
Authorities charged him with armed robbery in relation to the incident that happened around 7 a.m. last Wednesday at the Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robbins at 8709 U.S. 17 Bypass.
The suspect evaded police and shed the clothes he was wearing during the robbery, resulting in a search that went on for some time, a previous HCPD news release said.
A witness provided police with a detailed description of the suspect for a forensic sketch. The extended search resulted in a second call for service for additional officers at the scene, which was logged around 7:30 a.m.
Busch remained jailed at J. Reuben Long Detention Center at the time of this report.
