The Carolina Country Music Fest event grounds reopened Saturday afternoon following a brief closure due to inclement weather.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department announced the reopening on social media around 3:45 p.m.

In a tweet sent out roughly one hour earlier, the MBPD encouraged those outside to seek shelter because of lightning strikes.

Acts set to perform Saturday night include Florida Georgia Line and Dan + Shay.
