Fatal Longs fire

Horry County firefighters are at the scene of a fatal house fire in the Longs area.

A 61-year-old Longs man died in a house fire Friday afternoon, authorities said.

Don Truluck, who owned the home, died from injuries he sustained in the fire, said Horry County Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy.

Shortly after 2 p.m., Horry County Fire Rescue received a call about a fire at a home on Rolling Ridge Road, county spokeswoman Kelly Moore said.

Authorities discovered Truluck's body. No one else was injured.

The fire's cause has not been determined yet.

"It'll take a few days at least before we have that information," Moore said.
