Two dirt biker riders died from injuries they sustained in a head-on crash Wednesday night in the Loris area, authorities said.

Cpl. Judd Jones with the S.C. Highway Patrol said the wreck happened on Southern Crest Drive around 11:15 p.m.

A northbound dirt bike collided with another dirt bike traveling south.

The two riders were identified as Nathaniel Long, 16, and 19-year-old Tyrell Gayle by Horry County Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy.

Both teens were from Loris and were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck remains under investigation.

Fedup

[sad] Tyrell was no angel like everyone is making him out to be. He terrorized the whole neighborhood. Nathaniel was a sweet hard working young man.

Yeahyeahyeah

Clearly you know him so well.
