One person was charged with "negligent operation" in connection to a Tuesday night boat crash on the Intracoastal Waterway, according to Department of Natural Resources spokesperson Kaley Lawrimore.

She did not know the name of the person who was charged.

One person was transported to the hospital with injuries after the boat crashed into a tree on the ICW, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

HCFR posted on Facebook that another person on the boat signed a medical waiver.

The crash occurred to the area of 3300 Waccamaw Boulevard near the railroad bridge on the waterway, HFCR said, adding that the call came in around 6:30 p.m.

What is the difference between this and the lady who drove her vehicle into the medical center killing one person? They were both accidents!
