Aynor volleyball standout Madison Bell will continue her career at USC Lancaster.
The 17-year-old signed with the Lancers during a ceremony this past week at AHS.
“It’s a very small school,” she said. “It reminds me of Aynor a lot. The classes are small. I enjoy the one-on-one attention, the campus and how small it is.”
Bell earned a reputation as a defensive specialist during an outstanding career with the Blue Jackets. She played three years of varsity competition after being a member of the junior varsity team as a freshman.
According to Bell, the most memorable part of her career was the special friendships she shared with her coaches and teammates.
The teen is a daughter of Heather and Shannon Bell. She plans to major in psychology at USC Lancaster.
“I want to get into adoption and foster care,” she said. “I love kids.”
Assistant Coach Lonnie Kaye believes Lancaster will be a good fit for Bell.
“She will be successful wherever she goes,” Kaye said. “She’s a good kid. Madison has a fantastic work ethic. She is very dedicated to the team.”
