One person was rescued after the car they were driving ended up in a pond in Myrtle Beach, officials said.

The individual was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center after being rescued from the water by two divers around 4:30 p.m., Myrtle Beach Fire Department Lt. Jonathan Evans said.

The car was submerged in a pond near Radar Road, which is off Harrelson Boulevard and near Myrtle Beach International Airport.

Horry County Fire Rescue also responded to the scene.
