UPDATE: Police have charged two people in connection with the investigation of a meth lab in Carolina Forest, according to Horry County Police Department spokeswoman Mikayla Moskov.

Melissa Lewis Clark, 36, and 32-year-old Matthew Rocky Graham each face charges of manufacture of methamphetamine, first offense, and manufacture of methamphetamine near a school.

Total bond for each suspect was set at $20,000, jail records show.

Two charged in CF meth lab investigation

Emergency personnel Thursday morning responded to the Kent Lane area in the Canterbury Apartments community off of Carolina Forest Boulevard.

Moskov said a meth lab was discovered in a home.

The HCPD, Horry County Fire Rescue and area HAZMAT team members were called to the scene.

Residents were evacuated from an apartment building, but were later let back inside their homes. Community members were asked to avoid the area while the investigation was underway.

Agencies "have specially trained technicians skilled in handling these types of investigations, and additional hazmat resources have been called in to assist," a Thursday news release said. The situation was resolved by noon that day.
