A seven-year-old boy said a New York man sexually assaulted in a hot tub, according to an Horry County police report.
The man accused of the assault, Thomas Daniel Tucker Ebert, was arrested.
He is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and dissemination, procuring or promoting unlawful obscenity, online jail records show.
The boy’s mother said she had a conversation with him about inappropriate behavior and asked if he had ever been touched, the report said.
The child told her that while he was on vacation visiting Ebert in Aug. 2016, Ebert got next to him in a hot tub and performed a sex act on him.
The boy said that at one point Ebert’s roommate came out and asked Ebert if he needed anything from the store. Ebert was said to have stopped his advances briefly until his roommate left.
The boy told his mother Ebert asked him to sleep with Ebert so he could keep sexually assaulting him.
Ebert remained jailed at the time of this report.
