Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the man.
Just after 7 a.m., the Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robbins at 8709 U.S. 17 Bypass was robbed, according to police records.
"The suspect then evaded police and shed the clothes he was wearing during the robbery, resulting in a search that went on for some time," an HCPD news release said.
A witness provided police with a detailed description of the suspect for a forensic sketch.
