Police are investigating a stabbing in Myrtle Beach Tuesday night, authorities said.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Cedar Street in reference to an assault, Myrtle Beach Police Department spokesman Tom Vest said.

One person was stabbed. His injuries are nonlife-threatening and he was not taken to a hospital. 

The incident was reported around 7:45 p.m. The MBPD continues to investigate.
