The crash happened around 9 p.m. on S.C. 9 near the intersection with GP Smith Avenue, said Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell with the S.C. Highway Patrol. That intersection is about seven miles outside North Myrtle Beach.

The Harley rider was the only person on the motorcycle and was killed in the crash.
