Officers with Myrtle Beach Police Department are seeking a person believed to be involved in an armed robbery Friday afternoon, according to Cpl. Tom Vest. 

Vest said the robbery happened around 4 p.m. in the 600 block of 4th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.

Police tried to stop the subject, who fled in the area of 21st Avenue North and Oak Street. 

The person authorities are looking for is described as a thin black male wearing a gray sweatshirt.
