A man and woman have been charged in connection with a shooting that happened Tuesday in Horry County.
Dalton Tanner Hardee, 19, is charged with six counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to online jail records. Ashley Brooke Allen, 20, is charged with accessory before the fact to a felony.
Police responded to McLeod Loris Hospital in reference to a shooting that happened near the intersection of Dennis and Valley Forge roads in the Aynor area, according to an incident report.
Witnesses said the suspects were sitting in a white Jeep on Bay Gulley Road before the shots were fired.
An argument ensued and Allen purportedly handed Hardee a handgun.
Hardee allegedly fired four rounds toward the shooting victim, identified in the report as a 25-year-old man, and the witnesses who were in Mercury and Volkswagen vehicles. One bullet struck the victim who was standing near the Mercury’s front passenger door.
Some of the witnesses were in the Volkswagen when the shots rang out and one bullet hit the vehicle on the driver's side.
No other injuries were reported. The victim was transported from McLeod Loris Hospital to Grand Strand Medical Center.
Both suspects remained jailed at the time of this report.
