It looked like a gun

A Galivants Ferry man, 28, said he was involved in a road rage incident, a July 8 Horry County police report said.

The victim said while he was driving towards Conway on U.S. 501, suspects pulled up next to him and it looked like the passenger pointed a gun at the victim.

When this happened, the victim went to a nearby Circle K to call the police.

When he did, the suspects also stopped and approached the victim’s car.

The passenger door does not lock on the victim’s vehicle, and one of the suspects opened it and threw the victim’s laptop and CB radio at him, the report said.

At the same time, another one of the suspects banged on the driver’s door.

The victim asked to have EMS check him because he “felt worked up and jittery,” the report said.

The suspects’ vehicle was not found.

Wandering child

According to a July 11 police report, a 4-year-old girl was running on the sidewalk in The Farm, and then ran into the road.

The complainant stopped, got the child and called the police, the report said.

The child was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Vehicle break-in

A Carolina Forest area woman reported that her unlocked 2003 Hummer H3 was broken into while it was in the Dick Scobee Road area, according to a police report.

Two iPads valued at $400 each were taken, as was a backpack with T-shirts in it, the report said.
