Physical assault in Avalon

An Avalon man, 50, reported that he was physically assaulted by two suspects outside of his home, according to a June 12 Horry County police report.

The victim said two suspects followed him home, and when he got out of his truck, one of the suspects said the victim owed him money.

The second suspect then pushed the victim, punched the truck and said he had a gun.

The victim said he did not see a gun and he did not know the suspects. The victim was unable to write a statement. He told the officer he could not read or write in English.

Trespassing again

A 42-year-old Charleston woman was arrested June 9 around 7 p.m. because she was trespassing in the Burcale Road area.

The suspect had been given a trespass notice by the Horry County Police Department in February, according to a police report.
