Charges levied against two individuals who were arrested last month after a woman claimed her Tinder date turned into a robbery have been dismissed and the woman has been charged with filing a false report.

Jessica Boyizigies, has been charged with filing a false report of a felony, said Horry County Police Department spokeswoman Mikayla Moskov in a news release.

Boyizigies on March 28 reported to the HCPD she had been robbed at knifepoint during a date with an individual at Magoo’s Sports & Spirit on Waccamaw Boulevard in Forestbrook.

Two people, identified by the HCPD as 38-year-old Kevin James Doyle and 24-year-old Colin Stuart Turnnidge III, were identified as suspects in the reported incident.

HCPD SWAT and Negotiations personnel were called upon to locate and take them custody.

After a brief standoff at the Vinings at Market Commons Apartments, both individuals were arrested and charged.

Doyle was charged with armed robbery and Turnnidge was charged with accessory after the fact to a felony.

"Further investigation of the incident, including text messages recovered from one of the then-suspect’s phones, as well as surveillance video from the bar, has revealed that the victim was not being truthful about the incident," the release said.

Evidence suggests Boyizigies did not meet one of the then-suspects through the Tinder app and actually went to the bar to buy illegal drugs, according to the release.

"The victim provided the money and, when the other individual failed to return with the drugs, the victim decided to lie about being robbed at knifepoint," the release stated.
