An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter was used by the Coast Guard Friday morning to airlift a sick 47-year-old diver Friday two miles east of Little River Inlet.

Coast Guard Sector Charleston received a report of an unresponsive diver on a boat at 10:45 a.m, according to a news release.

The diver regained consciousness and showed signs of decompression sickness.

"An Air Facility Charleston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew launched to assist," the release said. North Myrtle Beach Police also assisted.

The Dolphin crew arrived on the scene, hoisted the diver and transported her an airport in Columbia where emergency personnel were waiting to take her to receive medical treatment.
