City of Loris

The City of Loris announced just a few minutes ago on their social media page that a curfew was being implemented in the city today, from 7 p.m. tonight until 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.

The executive order posted says a siren will go off throughout the city at 7 p.m. and last for 60 seconds.

Exemptions to this curfew are police officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses, and "all other classes of persons as may be essential to the preservation of public order and immediately necessary to serve the safety, health and welfare needs of the people within the city, or to protect property within the city."

The order is signed by Loris Mayor Todd Harrelson, and Kenya Wright, clerk treasurer.
