Ryan O’Neal and Ali MacGraw are two of the stars featured in “Love Letters” at the University of North Carolina Wilmington on Oct. 5.

The two stars played lovers in the 1970 film “Love Story.”

“Love Letters,” a play by A.R. Gurney, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for drama. It chronicles the lifelong relationship between Andrew Makepeace Ladd II and Melissa Gardner as revealed through their intimate letters to one another.

In addition to O’Neal and MacGraw, the play also features Sheryl Lee and Judd Nelson in an Oct. 12 performance.

Lee starred as Laura Palmer in the cult classic television show “Twin Peaks.” Nelson is the Brat Pack alum who starred in “The Breakfast Club” and “St. Elmo’s Fire.”

Showtime both nights is 7 p.m. and ticket prices are $55-$125. Tickets are available by calling 800-732-3643 or at uncw.edu/arts/tickets.html.
