Thanksgiving

Sometimes the grocery store runs out of turkeys or unexpected guests outnumber dining room chairs, that is when you might need to turn to one of these local restaurants that will be open Thanksgiving Day.

California Dreaming will have a Thanksgiving feast at both locations in Myrtle Beach and Surfside. The meal will feature honey ham and turkey, with sides: sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, garlic green beans, and glazed carrots. There will also be dessert. Dinner includes a non-alcoholic drink and is priced at $19.95 for adults and $9.95 for children under 10 years old. Carry out is available when you pre-order. Carolina Roadhouse is located at 46th Avenue on North Kings Highway. The restaurant will be open from 11:00am-10:00pm. The Roadhouse will be serving classic Thanksgiving Dinner that will feature turkey, ham, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, glazed carrots, mashed potatoes and gravy, herbed stuffing, and pecan or pumpkin pie. Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant, located at 29th Avenue North, will be open from 11:30am – 9pm for Thanksgiving dinner. While the restaurant will still have their regular menu of all you can eat crab legs, oysters, shrimp and scallops, they will have all of the traditional Thanksgiving grub. Captain George's has over 100 buffet items including a wide selection of desserts. For Thanksgiving the buffet will have all the Thanksgiving classics including turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, ham, cranberry sauce, cornbread, biscuits and even friend chicken. Greg Norman’s Australian Grill, located in North Myrtle Beach at Barefoot Landing will be open for Thanksgiving. Greg Norman’s will offer a set menu with both classic Thanksgiving features and their traditional menu items Guests can have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner plate, a fresh catch plate, or a steak feature plate in addition to several appetizers and dessert options. Gulfstream Cafe will be open for Thanksgiving with hours from 11:00am-8:00pm. The cafe which is near the south end of Garden City will feature a classic Thanksgiving Day Dinner with turkey, cornbread, casseroles, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans and dessert. Children under 9 years old are $9.95, adults are $19.95. Call (843) 651-8808 to make reservations.

Hard Rock Cafe, located at Broadway at the Beach will be open for Thanksgiving and feature a Thanksgiving buffet from 12:00pm-6:00pm. The serve yourself style will have all the staple Thanksgiving dishes including turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, carrots, green beans and desserts. Heart and Soul Seafood Cafe, located in Murrells Inlet will be featuring a Thanksgiving Day Dinner including deep fried turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, collard greens, mac and cheese and creamed corn. They will also have a limited regular menu available. Prices are $22.50 for adults and $10.00 for children 10 years old and younger. Hook & Barrel, one of Myrtle Beach's newest restaurants will be open Thanksgiving Day and have a buffet. The menu will feature a traditional holiday menu that will include turkey, dressing, green beans, ham, mashed potatoes and more, including desserts. Their hours will be 11:00am-4:00pm. The House of Blues, located in North Myrtle Beach at Barefoot Landing will feature a Thanksgiving buffet along with live music. Buffet items will include turkey carving stations, jambalaya, cornbread stuffing, southern style veggies, and desserts. The price is $34 for adults and $16 for children ages 4-10 years old. Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse will have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner along with their Brazilian staples, as well as their hot and cold buffet. Rioz will begin serving Thanksgiving dinner at 12:00pm. They do not take reservations, but you can call and get more details about the menu at (843) 839-0777. 

Riptydz in downtown Myrtle Beach, right on Ocean Boulevard will not only give you a ocean view on Thanksgiving but a great feast too. The restaurant will have a Thanksgiving Day Buffet featuring your traditional menu of turkey, dressing, and lots of sides along with seafood including shrimp and crab. Ruth's Chris in North Myrtle Beach will be open for Thanksgiving day will a swanky atmosphere and their own twist on holiday menu classics. The restaurant will offer everyone a three course meal that includes an appetizer, an entree dish, one side and dessert. Choices abound from their menu which includes seafood gumbo, along with turkey, dressing and salad. Dessert will be pumpkin cheesecake. Sticky Fingers located in the heart of Myrtle Beach next to Coastal Grand Mall will have a traditional Thanksgiving feast by way of buffet. The buffet will include turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, baked beans, corn bread, cranberry sauce and more. Dessert is also included. The all you can eat buffet is $20 for adults and $9 for children 10 years old and younger. Call (843) 839-7427 for more details.
