The Grand Strand Myasthenia Gravis Monthly Support Group meets the second Saturday of each month from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM inside the Lakeside Crossing Development Community Room located at 140 Lakeside Crossing Drive Conway, SC 29526. We meet to share our experiences, resources and the latest developments that effect living with Myasthenia Gravis, a disorder of neuromuscular transmission. Myasthenia Gravis is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease that causes skeletal muscle weakness. Symptoms include but are not limited to; double vision, difficulty speaking, chewing, swallowing and sometimes breathing and a lack of facial expression. Myasthenia Gravis means "grave or serious muscle weakness" in Latin.

There is no cost and patients, family members or those interested in learning more about MG are welcome. Please call Beverly Watrous at 843-504-8063 for more information or contact Poutre at 843-855-0076 for directions. We do not meet during July and August.
