Bobbie Rhodes Grainger, 66, passed away Sept. 27 at her residence.

She was born Oct. 25, 1945, in Loris, a daughter of the late George Columbus “G. C.” Rhodes and the late Mabel Butler Rhodes.

She was a great mother and grandmother and was a loyal friend to many.  

Mrs. Grainger was predeceased by husband Ronnie Grainger and brothers Wendell Rhodes and Bill Rhodes.

Survivors include sons Kevin Grainger and wife Barbara Ann of Loris, and Stephen Grainger of Longs; daughter Christie Doyle of Longs; grandchildren Ron Grainger, Courtney Grainger, Ashley Grainger, Zachary Grainger and Madisen Grainger; brothers Harold Rhodes and wife Margaret of Loris, Paul Rhodes of Loris, Larry Rhodes and wife Gail of Fair Bluff, N.C., and Tommy Rhodes and wife Wanda of Conway; sisters Frances Graham, Virginia Rowell and husband Jerry and Brenda Kitelinger and husband Will all of Loris and sister-in-law Shirley Rhodes of Loris.

Funeral services were held Oct. 1 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, with the Revs. Mack Hutson, Ross Altman and Carl Harris officiating. Burial followed in the Old Springfield Cemetery.

Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
