Highway Patrol reports wreck with injuries at U.S. 501 near Tanger Outlets

U.S. 501 northbound is currently down to one lane as police and emergency personnel tend to a wreck with injuries near Tanger Outlets.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol website, the crash occurred at about 8:34 a.m. and involved injuries. The nature of the injuries was unknown as of this posting, as was the cause of the crash.

In observations at the scene, a Honda pickup truck suffered extensive damage to its rear bumper. The collision occurred at Waccamaw Pines Drive.

Drivers are asked to use caution in the area.
